Eptar Reinforcement: A Powerful Solution for ArchiCAD Users

Eptar Reinforcement: A Powerful Solution for ArchiCAD Users

Eptar Reinforcement is a software solution that helps designers to draw documents and lists the necessary reinforcement for their buildings in ArchiCAD. The application provides tools to define all 2D drawings as well as complete 3D models. The solution contains a library of different reinforcement objects and an Add-on. They provide great freedom in defining constructions and also help to specify complex objects.

Eptar Reinforcement also checks the rebar ID numbering and corrects it if necessary. With Reinforcement tool, users can simply calculate the necessary amount of rebars. Iron list is available on the floor plan just as the interactive schedule.

Reinforcement Main Features

  • Mesh board designer

  • More exact Cutting list for Mesh and Rebar

  • Some new additional elements

  • Reinforcement of concrete wall edges, by placing shear rebars in corners of openings

  • Reinforcement of concrete slab edges, by placing shear rebars in corners of holes

  • Slab edge reinforcement and wall edge reinforcement listing by components

  • Listing of different length rebars by length

  • Automatic update indicator

  • Automatic reinforcement of straight, slanted and curved walls, roofs, beams and columns with Mesh and Rebar elements

  • Most used rebar and stirrup forms are preset, but custom polygonal forms can be set too

  • Steel elements can be rotated, thus more difficult constructions (e.g. stairs) can be modeled

  • Complex elements (columns, beams and crownings) can be defined

  • Many view and display options

  • Cutting list generation

  • Changes can easily be made on the layout and in the Object Settings window as well

  • License borrowing: get for limited time (7 days) the activation key offline. After this time period the key become online again. This option is but permanent, and you can use it at any time. It can be ordered for your existing license, too.

The solution is working in demo mode until you purchase the product. Demo mode functions as the full version but the amount of rebars used to define complex elements and make listing, is limited.

To have license please buy it directly in our webshop[^1^], or order it from your local reseller[^1^]! After you received the registration data, you should register the license in ArchiCAD.

The solution is compatible with ArchiCAD 25-26 on Windows platform.

How to Use Eptar Reinforcement

To use Eptar Reinforcement, you need to install the Add-on and the library in ArchiCAD. You can download them from the Eptar website. After installation, you will see a new palette in ArchiCAD called Reinforcement. This palette contains various tools and settings for creating and editing reinforcement elements.

You can start by selecting a construction element (such as a wall, a slab, a beam or a column) and clicking on the Reinforcement tool. This will open a dialog box where you can choose the type of reinforcement (Mesh or Rebar), the shape and size of the steel elements, the concrete cover, the spacing and distribution, and other options. You can also use the preset forms or create your own custom forms. You can preview the reinforcement in 2D or 3D before placing it.

After placing the reinforcement, you can modify it using the Edit tool. You can change the properties of the steel elements, move them, rotate them, copy them, delete them, or group them. You can also use the Align tool to align the reinforcement elements to each other or to the construction element.

You can also create complex elements using the Complex Element tool. This tool allows you to define a column, a beam or a crowning with multiple layers of reinforcement. You can specify the cross-section shape, the dimensions, the number of layers, and the properties of each layer. You can also use the preset cross-sections or create your own custom ones.

How to Generate Documents and Lists

Eptar Reinforcement helps you to generate documents and lists for your reinforcement design. You can use the View tool to create different views of your reinforcement elements in 2D or 3D. You can choose from various display options, such as wireframe, solid, hidden line, shaded, or colored. You can also add labels and texts to your views.

You can use the List tool to create cutting lists for your reinforcement elements. You can choose from different list types, such as Mesh list, Rebar list, Complex Element list, or Component list. You can also customize the list content and format. The lists are interactive and linked to the floor plan. You can select an element on the floor plan and see its details on the list, or vice versa.

You can also export your documents and lists to various formats, such as PDF, Excel, Word, or XML. You can use these formats for printing, sharing, or importing to other software. 0efd9a6b88
